He quit on the team. Good riddance

Did he?

I keep asking for sources, because the Lord knows this board is prone to knee jerk reactions and jumping to conclusions. Maybe Vito or someone with the nerve to ask will bring this up on the coach’s show.

My seats were very close to the bench and I could see how disengaged he was on the sidelines.

He's never been a rah-rah, vocal leader type.  He could pretty much always be described as "disengaged" on the sidelines, even when he was a key component of the starting O-line.

I'm not going to reveal my connections to the program on here. We will let it play out. Just don't be surprised when he signs with another program in a few months.

A college player leaving us, with eligibility, signing for another program.  If someone is surprised by that sequence, I think they need to stick with Pop Warner.

Sadly in this day and age most players do not care about the school they're at and truly don't give a crap about the fans unless those fans are buying their NIL products. If they want to leave, let them leave and why do we waste so much time speculating on it.

Is he?  Wonder what his “value” is after being out all year. What’s your source?

My source (myself) feels the supposed best OLineman on our squad doesn’t want to play the last year for a team struggling to win 6 games every year.

Also, was Gabe Blair getting NIL payments for us? Is that legal to get payment and sit out due to an “injury”?

He was either getting paid or just has a passion for promoting local businesses and the NIL fund.

Surely you just, everyone knows that NIL has nothing to do with paying to play 😇

Has he been paying attention to the defections the last couple years?

My 0.02: it isn't really about wins/losses.  He just doesn't feel it in Denton and wants to try another place.

Why college sports should be destroyed and built back up better. Nobody cares about the players. Never have never will. It’s about the schools. The NIL is a joke.

Gonna be honest: I’m not aware how great either player was. I remember hearing the name Blair and seeing some comments that his injuries have really hurt us this year.
A big concern going forward is how this impacts keeping the likes of QB Morris around. Dude will not want to play his senior year behind an even thinner O-line.

I love that you think Morris will be back here next year.  Dude is gonna get a 7 figure NIL deal.

As long as we have EM we will be able to get a stud transfer, and they will use us to boost their profile to get a big NIL deal the following year.

Honestly, not a bad place to be in at our spot in the cfb pecking order.  Much better than we were before, and much better than most of our piers.

if someone gives CM a 7 figure deal then they are dumb, just watch his results against average to above average teams. He will be riding the pine

The PxP mentioned that CM has never played this many games in a single season.

I wonder if what we are seeing has to do with quality of competition, and/or some mental/physical challenges having never played this many snaps before.
