Does anyone else think he's playing hurt? Hasn't been the same QB after taking that crushing hit on his shoulder against Tulane. He hasn't been throwing the 15 yard out routes to DT and others. That may be why we are seeing all of these screens and short passes. We really don't have a backup so he may be trying to gut it out. Morris would never say anything about it to the press. Just something to think about.

He was launching the ball down field last game....

Not nearly as accurately as he was before the Tulane hit.

He is fine, just made some costly mistakes even in the short game

He probably has some chronic soreness like all starters do after 3/4’s of a season.
I think his drop off has more to do with a decimated running game (Porter is stepping up but would never play if the others were healthy), constant restructuring of the offensive line due to injuries, and some questionable play calling by the coach. I think he is pushing too much.

This ⬆️. Think he is just pressing.

Pretty much what the two comments above are saying:

It’s a strong possibility that he’s got a case of hero ball. “I need to play amazing for us to win” mentality. Mistakes avalanche and instead of relaxing, you tighten up and are harder on yourself.
Obviously that’s total conjecture based on my personal experience in sports. We all know he’s great and wants to win. Could totally be a nagging injury too, who knows. Hope he sticks around for another season with an experienced OL and a more consistent D. That’d be a treat to watch.

Have we thought that maybe he is just not that good against average to above average teams? Threw a pick to end our chances against Memphis. Threw two picks that cost us the Army game. And threw two picks that cost us the UTSA game. There is a reason it didn't work out for him at okla and TCU. Hopefully we can beat the two inferior teams we have left on our schedule.

Coach Morris said in the presser that Chandler hasn't played the same since the Tulane hit. I think it is a combination of trying to force things and the shoulder hurting. Maybe a little gun shy as well. I have noticed a lot of his throws being high and that seems to point to not finishing the throwing motion. He isn't throwing the ball with the same velocity right now.

This would also help bring in some talent. JayD said some dudes were going to transfer in, but Rogers left.  Had he stayed, we would have had even more talent here via the transfer portal.  Hoping we see year two of C4!

Doesn't help that the defense always spots our opponents 2 TDs to start every game and he feels like he has to make up for that.
