Now we have the last two games to see how they mesh with Odom. They should’ve given him a little longer chance. But, hey, I’ll take it.

Funny thing is, the defense had probably their best performance under Caponi last week.  Then they turn around the very next week and have possibly their worst.

The D will be tested next Saturday for sure. Hopefully this new intensity spawns a big win over ECU.

Interesting....that this happens right before we play ECU---a team whose season was rejuvenated with a mid season coaching change.

They utilized a reasonable formation last week…and then arrogantly abandoned it

No.

You never promote somebody that has two or three successful games as an interim when you need somebody that proves he can do it for a long duration.

Retain the best position coaches, let the new DC select replacements for the others... and then get them all recruiting the players that they need for their system. There should be no viable excuses for next season's defense.

I'm no coach so anyone who has a better gauge on these things please fill me in. What percentage of the blame belongs to the DC and what percentage is personnel? Is it possible that the D is just playing up to their talent level? If it's personnel can we reasonably expect a coaching change to make a difference ROS?

Sort of chicknshit to fire him so late in the season.  Seems like Morris is trying to find a scapegoat.  Same for Mosley.
