I know you young guys hate when one of us old farts try to tell you what to do. But trust me on this. Don't walk.....run away from this program...as fast as you can.

Get into something else. Anything. Bowling. Archery. Oragami. Japanese Anime. Anything.

Heck....even becoming a serial killer would be a better use of your time. You could become the MGSK....and make a name for yourself and the school. And to really throw off the police....on each of your victims....you could put one of our 107 logos. They'd have no clue what that means....since we have no clue what our real logo is....either.

Also, each week when you go out on a "kill".....wear a different uniform....as that seems to be a really big deal around here.

In all honesty, I really wouldn't want any of you to get into serial killing. But, if you do....and you see me getting in my car to go to the East Carolina game....please make me one of your victims.

Yours in Spiriki,

sumg

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!

Somebody really needs to get a hold of Jared Mosely. All the heat is on Morris when it also needs to be directed on our AD. What is he going to demand from his head football coach? Will he just pat him on the back and say get ‘em next season? Where’s the leadership in this university? Where are the standards to achieve greatness? All I hear are crickets from our athletic department. Really sad.

As someone who both hires and fires people, and who has had to tell people “sorry, but you just don’t meet our standard”, I cut Jared Mosley a little slack…until the season has ended.

There can be times you know a change needs to be made but, for a myriad of reasons, you choose no comment over good or bad comments and you discreetly do what needs to be done.  It isn’t flashy and doesn’t garner the headlines of a hardline “we DEMAND better!” statement, but the job gets done nonetheless.

I agree that E. Morris is in well above his head, and beating ECU and a floundering Temple team won’t change that, but I can stomach a change being made at season’s end.

Sure, if we can know for a fact a change will come.

Jared has been a disappointment to me as AD.  Little communication from the Top Office, poor marketing, same ole, same ole auto-pilot for fans.

But I already know he is not firing a head coach in year 2 of a 5 year contract.  We are not A$M.  He should be having talks about EM's DC and in-game decision making like play calling, risk taking on 4th downs, bypassing FGs for nothing....all that indicates a program off the rails and irrational coaching.

Well Jared needs to make the decision now. Yeah keep it to himself. But he should sleep tonight saying 8-5 EM comes back. Anything less EM goes.

Jared did well this year with 2 good size crowds in Wyoming and Army. But I can’t begin to imagine how empty next week will be. We’re talking MTSU with bad weather empty and it might be a beautiful day. EM did what he couldn’t do - lose all 5 power image games. Getting blown out in 2 of them and failing to realize and beat our arch nemesis. I mean EM did this to himself.

Going bowling seems meaningless now with the only saving grace being going to the Independence Bowl against a P4 opponent. Not even sure if this even a possibility. I think we end up in Ford or Frisco.

EM cost UNT money, a lot of money in ‘24. Time to bring in a mean dog.

Surely EM has the sense to recognize he has a major defensive problem, but the question is does he have the balls to do something about it. I’m a long time fan but I just can’t stomach watching this debacle!

Seriously, with what money are we going to fire EM and hire a "potentially" better guy that will demand more $$ ?

It all comes down to resource$.

Exactly.  When we fired Littrell with 2 years left on his contract, that was unprecedented, and several big-money donors had to step up to make that happen.  Jared has zero ability to fire Morris at this point, unless someone sticks $4 million or so dollars in his hand for that express purpose.

One of the major risks of a continuation of this failed approach  without some significant change in coaching is losing whatever quality players we do have since movement to another program is now so easy.

SO, amidst all this orgy of firing, who is going to fire the ones in charge of changing our culture? Or more to the point the ones who have NOT changing our culture?

"Jitter" Nolan was hired to bring about culture change at North Texas. His subsequent hire, Hayden Fry, went about trying to change our culture regarding athletics.

One got a better offer after fighting uphill all the time to bring about change, and one got run out of town on a rail by all the "old nesters" at NT.

46 years later we still have the same basic culture regarding athletics. Make that our usual LACK of culture.
