We just need to stomach it. One more half of losing football. Somehow we beat ECU in front of an empty stadium and win in the freezing cold after Thanksgiving.

Just one more half of this mess to stomach. Hang in there MG!

You are a great fan and I love your optimism, but if this is what it’s come to (and it seems like it has), this program and another generation of Mean Green fans is lost.   We took a gamble and it didn’t work out.

Yes it sucks. I can’t stand UTSA and it disgusts me that they flew right by us. I believe we will be attached to them and them to us for the foreseeable future. Oh well we’ll beat them in basketball. But they will always be perceived as the better program even when we eventually beat them a few years in a row.

I do believe the losing in ‘24 is over for this team. Optimistic, sure. I don’t see ECU Temple and the bowl game as daunting as the last 4 games. San Antonio shouldn’t have been what it turned out to be, but was I surprised? No. They own us. They are the better program with a better history and more upside.

But I still believe we beat a solid ECU team on Saturday and win in Philly. I think we win the Frisco Bowl too or wherever they get our 200 or 8,000 fans. The difference between a local bowl or not.

Optimistic always. Realist yea. Beat ECU. GMG!

The offense managed to score enough points to secure the win, but our defense still struggles to make a dent. We switched back to the 3-3-5 defense strategy and gradually allowed the opposing team to advance the ball down the field.

Some of our defensive backs’ angles were particularly poor, especially Smith #36. He made several critical mistakes, including running full speed at the QB allowing the quarterback to escape in the backfield twice. If he had simply broken down, squared him up, and made the tackles, he could have prevented big important 3rd down plays. It’s as if we have forgotten the fundamental principles of football.

Ward has dropped too many balls as of late too.  Started with the Tech game and it hasn’t stopped. Failed to compete for that pass that was intercepted as well. Super frustrating.

It feels like this season is over.  If we somehow manage to get that elusive 6th win, can we file a lawsuit to help a 3-win MAC team get into a bowl game so that it will at least be competitive?

Also, can we go back to the era when we didn't have any rivals? Any annual "rivalries" just end up fizzling because we're so terrible in those games that the series quickly become non-competitive and unexciting. We never really take any successful steps to improve the program while others refuse to remain complacent.

Chandler has lost his composure compared to the start of the season. He seems more frazzled and panics with the ball. There are times he could throw the ball away, yet he runs out of bounds to take a loss or holds the ball too long and forces passes. This is the Chandler Morris who’s moved from 4 different colleges.

It feels like he’s pressing.  It almost feels like he thinks he has to be the hero.  He was great earlier in the year because he took what was available. Seems like he’s trying too hard to make the big play.

I wonder how much of it is he is trying to overcompensate for inept coaching?

I think EM lost the team last night. Allowing an 83 yard TD run at the end of the game when you're getting curbstomped is the nail in the coffin with this group.

Or this soft OL. And, where has DT gone? If Morris isn’t able to scheme plays for him, we’re definitely cooked. Enough of this spreading the ball around to other WRs. Nobody can hold a cup to DT. If he’s being schemed out defensively, then that’s another failure by Eric Morris to not motion him or flip where he lines up. If the philosophy continues to spread the ball to any Joe out there, that’s why we’re losing on offense.

Yes, he has lost his composure.  Probably from the situation of constantly being pressured, or the team is behind a couple scores and he feels every pass needs to be a TD.   I never see a QB coach talking with him on the sidelines to calm him down, do we have one?
