Records of teams that we have beat. The only team with a winning record is SFA and they just lost to Texas A&M Commerce. We have a terrible defense and and offense that is explosive against bad teams. If the defense gets a stop, then the offense crumbles the next drive.

South Alabama (4-5)

SFA (6-4)

Wyoming (2-8)

Tulsa (3-7)

Florida Atlantic (2-7)

This team sucks, the program is heading in the wrong direction. I have wasted 17 years following this program. Not sure how you old timers have done this for so long.

Weeks ago, people were saying we’d be undefeated if we also played Army’s schedule. Total nonsense. This is our team…every year! Undisciplined, out of position, bullied, outcoached. Morris is simply unprepared to lead this team with his lack of tactics and expertise. You can get away with it in the lower levels, but not up here. It’s unfortunate we’re stuck with this “what could’ve been” talk for 3 more years.

This was so embarrassing. From 5-1 to 5-5 is just unfathomable. And we’ve looked like garbage for most of these losses. I think I’m just over this experiment. I watched the recent Dan Campbell clip where he’s describing his team’s identity, and he references having put “Grit” on the wall as a constant reminder of who/what is at the core of the team’s identity. We completely lack grit. A very soft, sloppy, undisciplined team and program overall.

What is North Texas’ program identity? The only thing we appear to excel at is finding new and creatively embarrassing ways to disappoint our fans.

The lost last year to FIU was enough for me to know this coach wasn't going to elevate the program....

We will be the weakness bowl team to get in....and I mean if we get in

AS I SAID THESE LAST 3 GAMES HAVE SETH LITTREAL WRITTEN ALL OVER THEM....6 WINS AND A ASS WHOOPIN IN A 2nd TIER BOWL.

AND THOSE THAT BITCHED ABOUT PARKING....DON'T  WORRY ABOUT IT FOR ECU.

THIS FOOTBALL TEAM IS SCREWED WITH MORRIS AS HFC AND WITH MOSELY AS AD. Just typical NT BS.

I don't see how we keep Cobb...

There is bound to be a special place in heaven  for long term NT football fans.

Y'all bitch about DD all you want but his teams usually played to the top of their conference level.

Translation our broke ass is stuck with him.  Are we the worst at hiring coaches or what?

i do blame jared as he never really looked at any other coaches.  He went with his gut and on the cheap and now we are screwed!

I would love to know who else interviewed and who were real possible candidates. I heard Fuente was too expensive from some on here before.

Why is it that others are capable of sustaining drives and eating clock but our "elite" offense can't do so?

I agree with your entire post, but wanted to highlight this statement.  I’ve thought since the Memphis game that our offense isn’t elite.  I’m oversimplifying, but we often either score on a big play or we don’t score.  On top of that, if I’m not mistaken, we’ve been in the red zone six times in the past two games and have 3 points to show for it (2 INT’s and 4 turnover on downs).

Hard to believe Jimmerson keeps his commitment . I’ll believe it when he signs his LOI.

Unless he’s getting a UNT sized bag (which can’t be much) and the promise of playing QB, he’s probably limited elsewhere at his size.

If Jimmerson is suppose to be Jennings from SMU, he wouldn’t be here.

Haven’t followed this thread and not going back through 17 pages. I am sure this has been mentioned, but what a shit show.
* This 3-3-5 bullshit experiment has to go.
* Poorly called game by Morris.
*. Stupid fourth down calls.
* Play like this and we will lose the next two.

Out.

I agree. I was shamed weeks ago for pointing out our offense is explosive but inconsistent and therefore not great. It's the truth though and I blame the playcalling in part.

Looked him up.  He’s a 5’7” 170lb QB/Wr.  You’re trolling us or you’re not watching the same games I am… unless he’s the key to unlocking 800 yards and 55ppg he’s not the answer.  The answer is a defense with a pulse.  I am not saying we don’t need or want him…but he’s not changing this team from losers to winners by himself.  That lousy team that just whipped us last night has always had a better defense on the field than we have.  With the exception of 2013.

He's currently listed at 5'10" on 247 and 5'11" on his Twitter which means he's probably closer to 5'9" or 5'10". That's enough size if the skill and athleticism is there.

The reality is Both Seth and Morris are from the same football tree and "neither" will/did take their respective team to the next level. Morris will return next year regardless of the next two games. I know modern College football has its challenges but he gets paid to figure it out...I hope he does.

Obviously we all remember Mason Fine but there have been other successful vertically inclined QBs in recent years. D'eriq King of Houston comes to mind considering he was a true dual threat as is Jimmerson. I have zero issue with this guy's height.

Agreed.  No issue at all.  People said for years that Kyler was too small.  He’s pretty OK, I guess.   We don’t need or expect a Kyler, but JimJim should be given every opportunity to compete, regardless of height.

If he was 2"or 3" taller, we would probably not be getting his commitment.

Am I a bad fan for just wanting the season to be over now?  Is a minor bowl in mid December really worth the effort?  I can't NOT watch, but I really don't want to see us play some MAC team in front of 500 people on a Wednesday afternoon.

Not a bad fan, but you are wrong.  The extra weeks of practice are valuable and failure to go to a bowl would make a disastrous year even worse.  Unless it is a massive loss, the exposure is still valuable.

It usually works that way.  Lose to good teams and beat bad ones.

I hope you stick with the team, but if it is too much torture, be like many others and give up.

As a long mostly suffering fan, over fifty years, NT is my team.   I didn't go to UT or A&M and couldn't care less about them and other the perennial powers.

As far as your coach record comparison, Dodge was a bargain basement hire and didn't have a chance.  McCarney was the first football hc that was hired with a competitive compensation package.  Unfortunately, he had serious health issues and was a failure.  Littrell and Morris were upgrades but certainly not proven D1 hc winners.

I have not entirely given up on Morris, although the last game was a horrible coaching job.  The defensive coordinator basically was fired by his defensive players.  They are either/and/or not very talented or were poorly coached.  Ether way the Defensive Coordinator is responsible.

NT has two very winnable games left.  Two wins and a good showing in any bowl would make this year at least a limited success.
