Before the season I figured we'd win only 6 or 7 games, but after the 5-1 start a six win season feels unacceptable (and I'm not even sure we'll win another).

Yeah I bet everyone is real excited about losing another 6 win Frisco bowl against Miami of Ohio State after losing to Ecu and squeaking out a win against Temple.

You are a fortuneteller, because that is our future. The #Hit6 crowd will get their wish. Old Denton lives.

Morris and his staff are a joke. Someone needs to step up and demand more from this athletic department. Pathetic.

We haven't improved since last year.

Eric Morris is a cheaper version of Seth Littrell.

Explain this, the two coaches are not similar at all.  Other than both can't or couldn't win any important game.

Moriss does not seem to understand Defense at a Pop Werner level. Flat out embarrass the University again. If he does not have the courage to perform the hard parts (firings), he needs to go back to being a coordinator.

I think it's worse than understanding.  He's just not even remotely interested in D.

That was Portland State bad.

As far as results... No. Getting curb stomped by an FCS at homecoming is still worse.

But from a coaching standpoint... it was absolutely worse. Never in my life have I seen worse coaching at the college level, than the job Morris did in the first half. Just putrid.

Remember folks, this can all get better if we just pay more.

You really think that paying more assures anything?

It increases the odds that the hires will be better, but it is no guarantee that a superior coach is hired.

I love college football and would never want us to drop the sport. I'll go to every home game because it's my school but I think it's time to shut down the football NIL and put it all into the basketball program. Play with whatever kids you can get that want a college education. I'll support them but in the new world of college athletics, basketball is the best chance to compete with the power 5 programs. Once again...it ain't easy being green!

They are both stubborn and will not adapt to their team deficiencies or make proper in-game decisions.

Keep Cobbs, show the door to everyone else.

Agreed. Cobbs is legit. After losing his entire running back room, he took a transfer wide receiver and turned him into a beast. Porter was our offense tonight. If our other coaches were just half as good at their jobs as Cobb is, we'd have a conference title team.

Getting embarrassed, again, on national TV.  To a lousy nutsak team.  Their worst team since 2016 or 17 just demolished us.  Wish I hadn’t seen that coming, but I have no faith in a team that plays defense as badly as we do.  I can’t see us beating ECU.  6-6 at best.

I would hate it for the players, but starting to hope ECU beats us by 40.

If Mosley can’t, won’t or doesn’t want to fix his mistake, then his head should be on the chopping block too.

I don’t see that happening because our basketball program is very good.  He gets credit for that.

Yeah, I still haven’t heard what the new president’s stance is on athletics, but I imagine this kind of stuff starts to land on Mosley’s shoulders if the president cares at all.

Four straight losses on four straight national broadcasts is not good for the university.
