Come March, let's see who is dancing.  Maybe some of these Gophers will come above ground and support us since they will probably be watching.

Haha.  Guess I pissed off a closet gopher fan.

A personal fav:

It was more "how" they lost. As other posters have commented, the offense has no flow, no purpose and zero situational awareness. The whole thing looks like a discombobulated goat rodeo, and I watched the second half of the second half, which was light years better than the first.

They scored 3 baskets and 14 points in the first half. More turnovers than made baskets. That is next-level incompetence, and I can't believe all these players suddenly forgot how to play basketball at a high level.

...also, the obligatory "I was a 30+ year season ticket holder until I saw this mess" statement by a frustrated fan.  Ever read that before?

A real quick check via google can tell you that NT's defense is top 5 in the nation.  https://www.ncaa.com/stats/basketball-men/d1/current/team/146
While on google, one could also see that NT's pace-of-play is bottom 10 in the nation.

ERGO...
Teams are going to score much less than they normally do against us, and it's going to frustrate the heck out of their fans if they don't know anything about us except that we're "a good mid-major".

Yes, as NT fans we have seen several years of this style play.  But for other teams, and their fans, they don't really understand what is happening.  Their team struggles and the game becomes difficult for them to score.  They blame their own players and coaches, usually with no credit to us.

It's weird because if they were to go up against someone like Virginia (basically the Mean Green, but in the ACC), they'd say "Oh, that's what Virginia does...".

Make no mistake, I like flying under the radar and reading those reactions from other fans.   Brings a smile to my face.  I hope our guys do too.

But man, the data is right there!

Got to admit, this was pretty funny.

If I was Coach Hodge, I would have this blown up and posted in the locker room. I would tell the players that this is what people think of you and we need to go out and dominate every team defensively until people start putting some respect on our name. Then when people do start to put some respect on our name, we need to dominate teams some more to leave no doubt.

This makes me think... which is more frustrating for fans? A football team playing Army, or a basketball team playing us?

Army has jumped up and bit enough teams to establish their triple option is well-known to be frustrating.
Apparently, NT bball hasn't bit enough teams with eyeballs on them for anyone to know about us... and that's just fine with me.   All of the AAC teams' fans know it well, but that's about it.

I still think NT lives in a world where we are just 'a mid-major'
