He played against Wayland Baptist for 9 minutes late in the game and as I remember he had two quick fouls. Maybe you saw something that I didn't see, but it seemed to me he was a "Not Ready for Prime Time Player."

Maybe we can see him in against McNeese St next week.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is redshirted. Hodge is probably looking to see if he has enough to work with for the year without having to burn his redshirt.

I thought he looked confident in his minutes vs Wayland.  Very athletic, defended well, made a basket and two free throws.

Didn't he redshirt with Creighton last year?  He only played in an exhibition with them but no minutes in a season game.

I think they transfer to get more playing time.  I doubt he wants to sit another year.  I'm afraid he'll be gone again.  6-10 and athletic needs more minutes with us!!

I thought he was a true freshman, I didn't know he was at Creighton last year. ESPN didn't list his previous stats so I assumed he was. If he can contribute it would be great to get him in rotating for Sissoko more.

He was rated very high out of high school for 2022-23....

Would definitely like to see more of him. Maybe it's the defensive side that's keeping him off the floor, I don't think Hodge is going to let you out there if you aren't giving him what he wants on defense.

Hodge, and really McCasland before him, seem to have a lot of reluctance to playing underclassmen. the trio of Rubin, Abou and Scott all starting as sophomores is the last real example of kids getting a shot.

I'd be surprised if Vice (or Cotton, or Mason) gets much run v. McNeese...they'll likely play v. TWU and get some run in that December home-stand, but unless one of them real distinguishes themselves I think the rotation is pretty well set.

Yet Stone has been playing since he was a true freshman. Nothing against the guy, just wondering what sets him apart from the others like Vice, Cotton, and Mason.

Stone game has not gotten better and when he is on the floor, its 4 vs 5

Kind of my point. I want him to succeed but he's just not made much progress if any at all. Why him but not these other kids? There's no way they can't match his production, he's scored zero points this season.

Stone seems to be put in occasionally as a defensive enforcer, but not in key moments.  As noted, he contributes little to the offensive production.

I'm afraid if we bench these new kids with potential, they will just leave and go somewhere else for more playing time.

Redshirting is a thing of the past.  Find what these kids strengths are and make them feel like they are contributing.  Otherwise you'll risk losing them...unless they just hang around like Stone and Allo.
