Exactly what we needed. Hopefully we rested up this week and come out swinging Wednesday night. This is the time to get rolling! I smell something special with this team. Nothing but dawgs who put their heads down and work. These last 6 games will be telling going into Dickies

Memphis ranked 7 spots ahead of us and they are almost guaranteed of getting in (and of having a sub #7 seed).  Meanwhile, we are guaranteed NOT to get in if we don’t win the conference tournament.  I get based on the body of work, yada, yada, yada, but it stinks.

When you think about the landscape, and where we stand with other quality Mid-Majors, the margin for error is ridiculously small.

Vito just published an article about our scheduling, basically highlighting the Q1/Q2 opportunities.  It's a massive talking point right now.  We need more of them.

Take those neutral opportunities!

Lots of National ESPN media upcoming for us to make our case in Men's basketball.  I don't recall a season before getting so much major media in a sport...

@ USF = ESPN-U

@ FAU = ESPN-2

vs. Wichita St. = ESPN-2

vs. Charlotte = ESPN-2

There's some pessimist in me, because these wouldn't be important quad wins.  Having said that, FAU and WSU have some good momentum right now, so maybe that will mean something (if we win, which isn't guaranteed.)

Yes, these games are not so much about the opponent we're playing against as it is just "being seen" as a program Nationally.  Building our Brand and program with more National media.   Mid-majors that win, also need to be seen and known to pollsters.   Dayton, Gonzaga, St. Marys, we've all seen them on ESPN.  Our turn.

Charlotte (269) in a weird Wednesday afternoon game (2pm) favored over Temple (151).

Look at that TV lineup... ESPN can't wait to send us packing.

The AAC needs to get their shit together.  We have some basketball powers that aren't doing so well right now, and I'm seeing evidence on X that the media is chomping at the bit to pile it on and crap on our bed.

We need Temple and Wichita St to right their ship.  And more, if possible! The more the merrier!  **EDIT*Also, fix our schedule.  Get these Q1 opportunities up closer to 6-8 chances per season, instead of 2-3.  Even if it means taking them on neutral sites.  This will help our situation (and UABs? I haven't dug into their issues) #ThisIsTheWay**

Thinking out loud: this one-bid assumption (AQ) is killing our perception.  Think of all things that are happening that go along with a conference having 3+ bids.  The momentum within the media, with perception, the competitive ball games, is probably dramatically better.  If you are sitting in a place where the media just assumes you're only getting your Auto-bid, they throw you to the back of the dump truck pretty quick.  And it gets lonely back there.

You have to schedule and beat competitive teams... the conference, outside of memphis, did not schedule and/or play particularly well vs OOC. This is the result.
