Memphis always loses focus for (at least) one or two conference games.  I don't blame them, though, because I know how hard it is to keep focus for an entire season.

I just wish this would happen in Denton lol.  Temple with a T25 win, something our Mean Green family desperately needs to see.  Seems like we can't catch freakin' break.

FAU at 9-9 is ranked too high.  They beat a 9-7 Okla St team and Liberty as their biggest wins.

I think they have a high ceiling but the recent stuff makes me start to believe they are never going to figure things out.

IMHO, Memphis is overrated.   Haggerty was unconscious against us and a couple of our top scorers were held to zero. Weird game and we owe them one.  Temple out rebounded Memphis 49-25

On another note, High Point lost tonight as well.

Minn won in OT over #20 Michigan.  Rubin Jones still off the bench, 3 pts.  Wish he would have stayed here.

All three ranked teams that were in action tonight lost, and all three were on the road.  It helps us in some small ways that two of the three winners were teams NT has beaten.  But, I think the bigger lesson here is just how damn hard it is to win on the road.

Oregon State giving Gonzaga a game. If they pull it off that would boost us.

Beavers won and…we dropped two spots (55-57).

I suppose there are other matchups/results that play into this.

fun numbers in conference play:

Wright - 17.4ppg, 46% 3-pt%, 100% FT% (4 20+ games and an 0-fer)
Lorient - 15.4ppg, 4.2rpg, 58% FG%, 81% FT%, 100% 3-pt% (lol)
Sissoko - 10.4ppg, 6.6rpg, 78% FG%, 83% FT% (something seems to have clicked for Sissoko and he's playing a lot more assertively.)

our other 5 rotational players have all had at least one double-figure scoring game in conference:
Massie - 11 v UAB, 10 v UTSA
Dello - 10 v Memphis
Floyd - 11 v Memphis
Jossell - 20 v UAB
Newell - 10 v Rice

if those top three can keep up numbers approaching those and we get one "good game" from the rest, we're gonna be tough to beat

Yeah, Shockers are probably the disappointment of the season.

Their coach is relatively new.  Will be interesting to watch how quickly they act if this ship continues to sink.

I watched part of the game in Wichita.  They only had 1/4 of their normal crowd, either because of the cold or probably because the KC Chiefs game was happening too.
