I would be hard pressed to believe UAB is going to be that low in the NET for long.  What do the other metrics and rankings say about them?

Its an algorithm based on team efficiency over value of opponents.  It is not really a power ranking, its more of a fluid formula that takes the entire season to reveal itself (it makes more sense in late February then early December).  

It would be interesting to see a tournament bracket based on NET rankings vs one based on committee seed rankings.
