I'll get the jump on this thread, because despite the name, I think this is a far tougher trip than Minnesota...probably our toughest non-con game.

I will say that if we take care of business Utah State would like to have a say in that conversation.  Lol

@Censored by Laurie is correct. McNeese St is 0-2 in D1 games this year but those are a 7 point loss to South Dakota State and an 8 point loss to Alabama. They finished 56th in NET last year so if they run their conference again, this will likely end up a Quad 1 win. They just need to finish top 75 with it being a road game. Exciting times.

Hard to gauge Utah State with their schedule so far though they look like an offensive juggernaut. Guess time will tell. Have to beat Northern Iowa first anyways.

they dropped 100 on a conference mate. currently 47 in KenPom. Memphis is at 37 and currently our highest rated opponent.

Sure but how good is Charlotte? They beat Richmond who lost to Marist. Utah State's other D1 win is against 0-3 Alcorn State who lost to an NAIA school. Again too early to really tell either way.

I would like them to be good enough to be Quad 1 but not too good to get Will Wade hired away because they're our only home game on the books for next year lol.

I just looked up the betting line on NT vs McNeese.  We’re 3.5 underdogs.

Their coach is a recruiter.  He got busted for cheating at a prior school so I would imagine in this NIL era he has some show dogs on the roster.

Nice article about Jonathan Massie's return to McNeese, as NT faces the Cowboys...

Cowboys to face old friend

“I’m happy with our effort at Alabama and how we competed,” said McNeese head coach Will Wade. “We are in for a tough game Monday with North Texas, they are big and physical. They play tough defense and it will be a test for us.”

19 straight at home, wow. That's even longer than Boise's streak last year that we should have broken.

I think we broke a big Wichita State streak a few years ago when we won at the Shockers' place.

I'm anticipating this being a full house...their venue just holds 3800 and they drew 3000+ for their home opener...against the College Of Biblical Studies Ambassadors.

y'all think we're the only program with scheduling issues?
