How many down  votes can I get. The problem with NT is they have a Offensive Coordinator as a Head Coach..

And I’m hoping someone out there is looking for an OC.

He's got next year to find a new DC and whatever other changes he thinks he needs to make, but a mediocre year next year should seal his fate.

Should be, but we’re not the type of program to pull the plug on a coach with multiple years on their contract. And, that’s one of the problems…giving an unproven coach 5 years.

I'm going to be brutally honest.  Overall, I think we are a bad team.  Now, we are one of the best of the bad teams, so we will rack up some stats against terrible teams and help our offensive stars secure next year's NIL deals elsewhere.  But, we have no chance of winning against any team with a pulse.  We will likely finish with 6 or 7 win, which means we'll play a bottom tier bowl game against another 6 or 7 win team, and we will lose . . . because, once again, Eric Morris has never defeated a .500 or better FBS opponent at North Texas.  Is 6-7 or 7-6 with only wins against terrible opponents a good sign for the future?

They better be ok with empty stadiums and low donor numbers because I don't see people tuning in if next year is poor/mediocre. At that point Mosley's seat starts to get pretty toasty too.

I was thinking the same thing about Mosley, but I believe the basketball teams may save his job.

If I read it correctly, we are now 0-5 in front of the top 5 largest crowds in DATCU history.

It seemed like half the crowd were Army fans.

Not that it affected the game.

When HAVENT they been content with that stuff? It’s been that way here in Denton forever.

Sadly 3 points against Army may not get him hired away as an OC.

You mean no one likes the pass plays to WRs at the LOS over and over again?

Just about done with the Eric Morris experiment.   We will probably back into bowl eligibility due to a very weak schedule.  So frustrating.

Just wait until anyone decent gets bought by the P4 programs and we get to see a new 50+ kids again in 2025…

If they do well yes, at least for now. But if EM doesn't work out and he has to make a 2nd FB hire his job is going to hinge on it.

I'd still say it's the typical slow deflation of excitement like usual until it's so bad they have to make a change.

Oh I agree. But, it’d be nice if our school was a little more proactive when it comes to improving the e athletic department. Invest in real coaches as opposed to first timers and giving chances to go the cheap route. But, alas…we are who we thought we are

Basketball will save him.

We don’t have the money to do what you’re suggesting.

Agreed. Hopefully this conference ($$) can change our fortunes so that we can get to where we need to be and not have to hold on to coaches or ADs that aren’t doing their jobs well.

The defense played good today.  The offense can’t run the ball in for a score within the 5 yard line.  How terrible.

I mean, he’s right. Our football program never fails to disappoint. It’s maddening.

It's basketball season!! Football has been done after the last 2 loses. Anyone who thinks that this team was going to win today hasn't been around NT long enough.
