Bye week bad?

Interesting bit of information from the Cal/WF game.  The WF coach did a study going back 20 years and the team coming off a bye week was at a disadvantage in the game following the bye week.  Due to getting out of a routine…at least that’s the thought as to why.

The advantage of the bye is an extra week to prepare for a different kind of offense like the one Army runs.

Yes in this case it is prob quite useful to prepare for a totally different scheme. Or it would be if we had a real DC.

So in our case it is mostly helpful because of all the injuries we have.

It's somewhat dated, but I just found this: https://fbschedules.com/are-bye-weeks-really-an-advantage-in-college-football/

I would think that under our particular circumstances, our bye week was well-timed and should help us.  But it does appear that that's not usually the case.
