If this isn’t a sellout, then we may never sellout DATCU.

We’re having a great season.

Exciting offense with star QB.

Record enrollment.

Playing a BRAND NAME school with huge following that is nationally ranked.

I, personally, bought 13 tickets and invited friends.
Will be disappointed if this isn’t a sellout.

So I usually wait until the last minute to grab tickets in case there's miserable weather or something comes up...

I'm not finding any secondary ticket sites where you can get tickets for less than buying directly through the athletic department, but East Carolina tickets can be had for $15 or $20. I am also seeing entire sections sold out on the alumni side and very few tickets available in some of the 200 sections.

Does this mean anything? Is GA sold out because we gave away a bunch of tickets? BTW, exactly one seat still available in section 204.

According to the athletic department, there's less than 500 reserved tickets remaining for the game.

Question: If reserved tickets sell out, is there a time when they can start selling tickets for the student section, assuming the student section is not full?

I have no idea, but I would like the idea of extending the student section on the lower level in each direction a section or two since we don't have many visitors that sell out their allotment, put the band closer to the corner, and that way the lower level is always full and looks better on TV. Then mix the upper level student side with tickets purchaseable by the public and student overflow.

It would be a great problem to have and one that I'm sure has never crossed the ADs mind lol but the realistic answer is the wing is probably not close to full and they would just open that up.

I guess I should have included in my question that all non-student section general admission tickets also sold out.  I'm not saying that's going to happen this Saturday, just curious.

Wow. It looked it on the seat map so the wing must be reserved for somebody. Good student turnout and it'll be higher than Wyoming I guess.

It might be around the same *announced* number of ~27K of Wyoming, but I believe there'll be a lot more people actually in the stands this weekend!

They've been withholding single game tickets for the wing to push more people to the lower bowl. I don't know how that has effected the bottom line but the crowds look better this season.

I actually like sitting in the wings.  But they have shown it as sold out all season.  Been sitting there anyway and it is very vacant.  Figured they have been manipulating seat availability as mentioned.

Exciting QB and Offense against a slower than average defense = 3 points = pattern of letting fans down even with style of loss = bad marketing = casual local fans not coming back except for MAYBE these kinds of games EXPECTING to be let down.

It looks better on TV and creates a better atmosphere.

28,000 spread out is different then 28,000 crammed together.

I get why they do it. I just don’t like that you take a lower price point away, particularly when you’re trying to attract casual fans from Denton County who may not have any direct connection to UNT.
