Minnesota

"We knew this game was gonna be kinda one of the ones we didn't want to play..." "Obviously, Minnesota's probably gonna be much better than the last two teams we played."

Minnesota defeated ORU 80-57

Their Field Goal Percentage was 57.7%

Their 3 Point Percentage was 61.1%

They had 9 total turnovers

Defense will clearly be the key to the game.

Game shows to be on B1G+ which is 12.99 per month. Hopefully there's other options for the local UNT fans. I get tired of subscribing and canceling to random streaming services.

To add, I dislike scheduling opponents who will only offer live streaming through their service. I'd rather play a smaller midmajor on ESPN+ than Minnesota. Oh well.

they started 5 seniors against ODU...4 of whom played at least last season with the Gophers and the other is Lu'Cye Patterson, who you might remember from his 20 spot v. UNT last season with UNC-C.

they're top player is Dawson Garcia, a 6'11" stretch 4/5 who dropped 30 in 23 minutes in their opener and is currently shooting 80% from 3pt. (he has a very punchable face, too)

Minnesota hosts Nebraska-Omaha Saturday at 2:30 on peacock, before our game next Wednesday.

For reference ORU was 12-19 last season and Minnesota was 19-15.  Not much reference to this season,, just some history about their program's background.
