The money goes to everyone in the league no matter if you make the tournament or not, so that's a wash. We get that money either way. More eyes on your game in the NCAAs, even an early round, is definitely true. Probably the only time that may not be the case is if there's two mid majors laying each other (which rarely happens, but occasionally does). -

True. But the money is still better. The eyes on the program likely better also. In 2024, early round tourney games averaged between 1.6 and 2.98 million viewers. The 2024 NIT had 1.4 million - the only final to top a million since 2017. In comparison, our final was 380,000, about half of the next lowest in the last 15 years.- 1
