Saturday we host Army, who is an undefeated top 20 team. I don't remember us hosting a team ranked this highly before, the weather is predicted to be sunny in low 70's, and we have no reason other than apathy not to fill the stadium.

The 2021 UTSA team would like to have a word.

One could ask the same question in the opposite direction: who has North Texas beat that Army couldn't beat?

I expect a hard-fought game on Saturday between two of the best teams in the conference.

The context was total schedule.  You haven't played anyone with a winning record like a Texas Tech, Memphis or Tulane... or NT.

The question was "who has Army beaten that North Texas couldn't beat?" I merely changed the order of the teams in the question.

The answer to both questions is "no one."

I expect a hard-fought game on Saturday between two of the best teams in the conference.

Obviously our defense got absolutely torched in the first half against FAU. Army does an incredible job at keeping their defense off the field though. In the second half, FAU had only 2 possessions against Army due to Army holding the ball for over 23 minutes of that second half. The first half ended 14-7 so it's not like Army had such a comfortable lead that they didn't need to score. If you don't give the other team the ball, they can't score. We could be up by 20 and we'd still be running uptempo.

The difference with our defense is they won't have to sustain drives when we give up big plays.

In my opinion UNT is just a 1/2 a step behind Tulane and Memphis, and probably Army. However I think Morris will light it up against the Black Knights and if we can get just a little help from our defense we have a decent chance to win. Of course I voted for Harris so what do I know.
