I'm wondering who will set their career best this game against our defense

They have a really good running, and the QB runs really well.  Just my observance watching Army's game today.

And wasn't today's game with their backup quarterback?

We need to stack the box and play man coverage on the back end. I got it that they can throw better than in the past, but they are still primarily a running team and our DBs should be able to hold up in man coverage against their receivers. Should being the key word.

They will trail in a game for the first time this season.

I just need our players and coaching staff to feel this way.

A similar type score to the Navy game from 2008.

You have to Stack the box! Under no circumstances can you be dependent on out DB supporting the run defense. Put 2 over the center alternate one attempts to penetrate and ones just holds and reacts. Stop the dive play. We hold them to 35-40 we win.

We don't have to outscore Army.....we have to outscore our Defense!

If Army ever goes three and out and we don’t immediately score, then we will lose.  Those are the only possessions that will matter.

With a Bye week and Notre Dame after us, this is a prime "trap game" for Army.

18. Army

8-0

Army has a bye week between North Texas and Notre Dame

NOTE: I wasn't talking to myself with these three posts that seem to be consecutive. Someone deleted posts...

1) had a bye week before Air Force, so it's not like they're exhausted

2) free time? cadets who play an in-season varsity sport?

Appreciate BeatNavy. Good fan.

Message me if you are coming to the game and I will share a dram of peaty Scotch with you. There will be at least one other West Point grad at our tailgate, my BIL. Two others in the family may not be able to attend (one of the slackers just welcomed his first son to the planet). If not, I hope to see you at West Point next year.

We have a late game drive hoping to score so we have a chance to try an onside kick in order to setup an opportunity for a touchdown and two-point conversion to force OT.  I mean, what else can we ask for, right, right?

My fear is even if we load the box we can't tackle. If they go with the backup QB, we may have a shot.

This is what’s been happening.  It’s very frustrating.  Running through the ball carrier and/or wrapping up the ball carrier seem basic, but have not been happening.  We also have times where the players seem to shy away from the ball carrier.  Got fix it.
