When you get past the contracts for the conference champions, I think it could come into play. ESPN has a history of moving some things around to get their favorite matchups. So, it can help if we want to be in the best position possible.
This label that they're doing a poor job simply comes from your expectation that you think it should line up with every one else.
I get it. I agree this isn't a good look. I just want to be clear that they aren't breaking any rules, or missing any deadlines.
Agree that NIL is not the total key to football success. Florida State is 1-7, Stanford and Kansas 2-6, Purdue 1-6, Miss State 1-7. Those schools have NIL, large NIL. Other factors could be affecting their records. Coaching, injuries, hard schedules, etc? NIL is not a guarantee of wins.
