Teams get done around the same time because schedules fill up and there aren't games left, you can't make more games once a team has all of their dates finalized. Your missing the part where we ask, what were we doing all of these months while everyone else was negotiating games with each other? Why are we left hat in hand asking Wayland Baptist to come play us? It's not about thinking we should be done because everyone else is done, but about why we haven't done a good job negotiating games over several months while everyone else has. How do you not see this as an issue?

I promise I’ll be at every home game, but this might be the worst non-conference schedule I’ve seen. Oregon State ? They went 13-19 (?) last season.

When you get past the contracts for the conference champions, I think it could come into play. ESPN has a history of moving some things around to get their favorite matchups. So, it can help if we want to be in the best position possible.
