That’s incredible.   I was concerned for Chandler’s health this year, but I think he’s been tough, at least from what I’ve seen.  I worried about his throwing arm this past weekend but again, he came back strong.  Congratulations and best wishes to Chandler Morris and the Mean Green.

What sucks is because of our national perception, he will never be in the conversation as a Heisman candidate even though he 100% should.

Fire up the old Mason Fine for Heisman website

He is amazing at finding a receiver and delivering it on target while running for his life. This is a kind of talent we haven’t had much. I wish he didn’t have to run for his life so much.

Is he really?  I don’t feel like I’ve seen him running for his life that much.

Statistically speaking, Chandler is more accurate on the run outside the pocket than he is in the pocket.  They've spoken about it on the broadcast several times.

Huge offensive talent this season....wasted because of no defense on the other side.

His dad should call up the coach and bitch him out about not giving his talented kid any kind of defensive support.

He's so fleet of foot that he turns a lot of what used to be "running for your life" plays into what looks like planned plays.

From Vito....

Morris named to Davey O’Brien list

UNT quarterback Chandler Morris was among 35 players named to the Davey O’Brien watch list on Tuesday.

The honor goes to the top quarterback in the country each season.

The TCU transfer has thrived in his first season with the Mean Green, throwing for 2,873 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Morris has thrown for more than 400 yards in three of UNT’s last four games, including 449 in the Mean Green’s loss to Tulane last week.

Or a running game.

His talent isn’t being wasted.  It’s being maximized.  If he and the offense aren’t balling out we’d be out of every game.  We’re not 8-0, but can’t say his talent is being wasted.  That’s just a bit too far down the negativity branch for me.

We could easily be 7-1 and in the top of the conference with just an average defense.   He and the program would be more in the National spotlight then.  It is a wasted opportunity for all up to this point because of the defense.
