Per another season ticket holder the last two home dates are 11/11 at 7pm and 12/11 at a time TBD. Opponents still unknown.

I predict these dates will be filled with one of the following:

LSU Shreveport

UT Permian Basin

Texas A&M Central Texas

University of Nebraska Kearney

Wisconsin Eau Claire

Lol I'm still holding on hope for UNC Asheville (the opponent App State lost allowing us to get the Mountaineers on our schedule). Both of those dates would work, though 11/11 would just force them to extend a road trip to Ohio on 11/9.

That game on 12/11 in the middle of exam week would likely be a local NAIA/D2 team which at this point I'm fine with. 16 home games is one more than last year. And we had two non D-I opponents last season so that would also be progress.

TCU and SMU have no interest playing us. They know we have squads on their level and wont risk the loss.

Give me UTA...close to each other and a rival game

Being close does not make them a rival for us, otherwise TWU would be our main women's rival...

I think UTA ended the MBB series.  They were tired of being curb-stomped by us every year.

They weren't curb stomped by us, every year. The last time we played down there (Mac's last year)....the game was a nail biter. I think we won by four.

I've looked up a lot of mid-major's schedules....especially ones that would make good opponents. And they all have schedules similar to ours. Play some name teams....at tourneys or on the road. And fill your home schedule with 2-3 schools that no one has ever even heard of.

I always thought the UTA game was a good idea for both programs.  not only would it be attractive to fans and alumni from both schools in the area, when you factor in the rankings its almost a no brainer.  UTA finished 129 in NET, UNT 79 last season, in Kenpom UTA is currently at 159 and UNT is sitting at 80.  A close game between these schools would benefit both schools in the rankings.

But has it really been finalized?

I promise I’ll be at every home game, but this might be the worst non-conference schedule I’ve seen.  Oregon State ?  They went 13-19 (?) last season.

Oregon State made the Elite 8 in the last five years.

Shhh, if they didn’t make AT LEAST the Sweet 16 last year they are NOT worthy to step on the hallowed Super Pit floor

I wasn't sure whether to post it in this thread or in Matt's but . . .

Our wait is finally over. Texas Wesleyan is the opponent on November 21st at the Super Pit. Get your popcorn ready.

Why is it so hard to get a decent team to The Pit? I love UNT basketball but c’mon, Texas Wesleyan is an embarrassment. Think there are DFW high school teams that can beat Texas Wesleyan. Hard to motivate myself for a 2 hour round trip drive for that matchup.
