May be a dumb, out of touch question, but with NIL, etc., is recruiting at the Junior College level a thing of the past?  Over the years UNT brought in some really good JC players out of Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, etc.  Big, quality linemen, linebackers, etc.  Do we, or should we still recruit at the JC level?

The main advantage of recruiting JUCO players over other transfers was their immediate eligibility.  That's not a factor anymore.

That said, get 'em wherever you can find 'em.  Some of the best transfers of this last group came out of no-name schools.

I’m a fan of the JUCO route.   2 years of weights. 2 years away from home.  2 years of tape against bigger/stronger comp.     In my mind, money better spent.

money spent on a HS kid that doesn’t hit the depth chart their Fr year then leaves out of frustration, is money thrown away.
