#17 Boise (-2.5) @ UNLV, 9:30 tonight.

This may be the last real hurdle for Boise to claim the G5 CFP spot.   Army and Navy would need the upset tonight to keep their AAC rep rights in tact.

And interesting situation developing: if Army and Navy make the CCG, whoever wants the CFP spot is going to have to beat the other two times in back-to-back weeks.

no, the CFP will make selections the evening of the Dec. 8th... so if it happens that both teams make it to the AAC championship game undefeated, the winner would most likely play in the playoff, then they would play in a meaningless matchup on Dec. 14th

So the AAC championship game (Sat. Dec. 7th) could be

Army - 29 (advances to CFP)

Navy - 27

Then the following week Navy could win the rematch (Sat. Dec. 14th) 63-0 and Army would still go to the playoff...

obviously this is all hypothetical, and there is still a TON of football to be played

Ah that makes sense, thanks.

Makes you think though if either Army or Navy makes the CFP if players would hold out of the meaningless game on the 14th. Can you serve in the academy and choose to do that? Lol.

Half the starters suddenly came down with e-coli poisoning after the CCG from sharing some McDonalds quarterpounder.

I'm sure there are ways to make it work..

It's not college, but the way the game ended between Frisco Wakeland and Frisco Lone Star is making national headlines:

Quote

On a third down play from Frisco Wakeland's nine-yard line, Lone Star quarterback Karece Hoyt went up the middle on a quarterback keeper and then kept his feet driving to try and push his way towards the goal line. But in the process, Hoyt fumbled at the one-yard line and the ball was recovered by Wakeland defensive end Austin Wilson, who ran it back 99 yards for the winning touchdown and give Lone Star its first loss of the season.

65-59...  guess there aren't any defensive players to recruit on either team.

I know you’re just having fun, but some of the greatest passing QBs the game has ever seen ran a triple option in HS and threw the ball less than 10 times game.

Don’t let the numbers fool ya, Mean Green Nation
