Tony Denton's win percentage was probably better than Dodge's... but Dodge didn't steer a high flying ship straight into the ground...

This is a good offseason topic

Smatresk and Wren deserve majority of the credit for modernizing the program.  And leaving out Coach Mac is a big oversight IMO.  It ended badly for Mac but he is the one that elevated expectations around here to fit the new stadium.  Seth did his best to meet those raised expectations.  So I disagree he elevated the program. He didn’t hurt it either.  But also other coaches in our conference (and other G5s) operating with less over a shorter amount of time to build their programs routinely beat his teams.

The program has been bad but it not like he was recruiting to subpar training facilities, with an subpar budget and a Fouts Field beyond repair.  He didn’t elevate us to mediocre we were already there.

He took over a 1 win team that owns the record for worst FBS loss to a FCS program in the history of football. I’d say he improved what he took over.

Skladany was a damn legend. Best DC we have had in my lifetime as far as I am concerned.

He and Deloach, first go round, were the best.

Love this picture of Skladany.  Looks like a crazed beach bum.🤣

Oklahoma hired Washington State’s Ben Arbuckle — just 29 — to be its new offensive coordinator yesterday. He takes over for the fired Seth Littrell, whose offenses sputtered in the Sooners’ first SEC season. Meanwhile, Florida Atlantic picked Texas Tech offensive coordinator Zach Kittley, just 33, to replace Tom Herman as head coach.
