I cannot stress how much I want this to be true. I do agree that how he handles the offseason defensively will be telling for his head coaching career moving forward. I am hoping he gets away from the perceived believe that he can outscore everyone and only needs a adequate defense. Offensively he's seems to be one of the top I just told defensively he also sets the standards just as high
After the very first game with Caponi as DC I thought he needed to be fired immediately. The thought from Morris was to give him a chance to recruit his players. That happened and there was very little improvement. He has changed the base defense to a 3-4 and that’s been a little better. I just wonder if we can give him so much time for such a slow learning curve.
We also are NIL money poor compared to many other teams. I don’t think we can get “more” players in the next offseason.
The money we owe him was deducted by his salary at OU. This firing hurt UNT because we will now be eligible to turn what we owe him to the full amount. This is not a good day for Seth or UNT athletics honestly. We both lose big time.
You should definitely run your program on “hope.”
All this really says is BV is starting to feel the heat. It’s desperation from a head coach who doesn’t have his team ready to compete in the SEC.
How can you say that. Extremely painfully embarrassing to be fired like that in the middle of the season. He's not just another coaching hire at OU. His family has extremely close ties to the University. I believe they are big donors and his dad was a player on their national championship team.
