Also says stats like yards are meaningless. Should have a lot more points on the board with that many yards.

So close. Need the same effort from both sides vs Tulane 

Defense got like 3 straight 3 and outs and offense did nothing with it.

This is the key. We can talk about how the offense didn't do anything for those drives the defense held, but they scored 2 TDs on their first two plays of the game! I mean, where are those types of plays for the defense? Thats the difference. Its like we want this offense to do even MORE to overcome the deficiencies in the defense. 

You will not consistently win games with that type of play.

Great write up. I understand that we are who we are and firing Craponi right now mid season won't solve that, but I also don't think we are in a day and age where we have the luxury of developing talent. It's a catch 22, as we don't have the money to lure great players to NT, so what's left? Schemes and coaching for what you do have. I think you pointed out that he did change some things, but it's obviously not working.

Another perspective on this. How do we think that we were about to lure studs on the offensive side of the ball like C4 and DT? Schemes and Morris. They knew they would get a chance to shine. The question is, do the players on the defensive side of the ball really feel the same with this defense?

@BigWillie totally agree on that final point. I don't know how you solve that stuff. I don't know that Morris knows either. I think it is smarter to stay patient and let these guys develop one more year with the same scheme and then make a decision. It's risky, but so is firing a guy and then going through growing pains one more time. Tis why you have to do a great job of hiring right away. Tough gig, but then again Morris is getting paid well to deal with it.

      Don’t…Just Don’t!

      Admittedly I have not. My question to you is how much of that falls on the teams they've played? We've seen what 2-5 looks like over the years. We know how bad a team has to be on all sides of the ball to go 2-5. They've played 4 teams who are 2-5, one who's 1-6 in UAB, and ECU who just fired their coach. We'd be undefeated with their schedule too.

      Seth loses OU gig

      Having gotten on campus in 2005, the run from 05-15 only saw one season I was proud of. That was so miserable. I didn’t get to experience the joys of the years prior and spent a decade in my favorite hobby’s hellhouse. I appreciate Seth for modernizing the program, giving us something to finally cheer about (before, apart from a solid 2013 and a handful of small wins here and there, there wasn’t much) and some hope for a while. So I would definitely say he elevated the program. Not to crazy heights but it was better than how he found it. I think Smatresk and Wren deserve a lot of credit for all of that elevation too.

      So North Texas never won any championships or bowl games? Give me a break. "We only beat bad teams", could apply to his most visible win here; a historically bad Arkansas team that got rid of their staff later that season. He is a good man but a mediocre coach when he arrived, while he was here, and today as an unemployed OC still cashing checks from UNT. You can find numerous other post from me and others questioning is resume at hiring, first guessing the extensions, and lamenting that he wasn't fired sooner. It isn't "happy he was fired" that is coming from me it is an “I told you so”. And I think my sentiment is shared by others. You can be mediocre as a professional it isn’t an insult or slight when your record is below 0.500 against FBS competition, with no Bowl wins or conference championships. It is what the numbers say he is, which factored into him being fired here and now OU. He work hard here, I appreciate that. But he was also paid well best salary this institution paid a Head Coach at the time he was hired. He also got 2 raises. Now that this appendix of the UNT Book of Seth is complete can we stop fighting about a coach THAT WON NOTHING OF CONSEQUENCE HERE?

      How can you lie and say you enjoy what's going on in CUSA? CUSA has become a league for programs transitioning from FCS to FBS. Everyone joining the league is already thinking about where to next. Curious what Judy's plan is to stop the revolving door.
