Sad about tonight
I'm sorry that your frellings were hurt. North Texas went on the road and challenged a team that is bigger, faster, stronger, more experienced, has much larger budget, and has significantly more fan support; basically every advantage. We lost due to a tying 12 yard touchdown toss that fell incomplete as time expired. The Mean Green almost knocked off Memphis tonight. I am never pleased with a loss, but tonight was an excellent effort by our team and our coaching staff. Honestly, they represented our university well and I am proud of them. Memphis fans create cohesion by wearing Blue to support their teams. Other colors may be more trendy but Memphis fans do what is necessary to support their school.- 1

The off-season can’t get here fast enough
Okay, just for grins, I put together this chart of the 5 teams that sorta' think they've got a chance at the CCG and to keep our green glasses on for another week. Yes, it's a big "if" in assuming we win out, but we aren't out of it even though we've got the toughest road ahead of anybody on the list. So, right now, you've got Memphis, Tulane, Army, Navy, and NT. The expectation is Army-Navy in the CCG which is likely. Also, the expectation that we win out is pretty slim, but that's why we're fans! Now, assuming all of these teams beat all of the other unlisted teams in their remaining games, i.e. no spoiler games from ECU, UTSA, etc., then if the following wins/losses happen, here's what you have (assuming I didn't make a mistake which is definitely possible) So, the CCG is either: Navy(0) vs NT(1) since we have the head-to-head win over Army OR (if Tulane beats Navy), then you have 4 teams with 1 loss: Navy, Army, Tulane, NT Navy L to Tulane Tulane L to NT Army L to NT NT L to Memphis With NT having victories over 2 of the teams, I would think we'd get in. Memphis beat us, so I guess they would be the other team??? I don't know if AAC uses national ranking as part of the selection process, so that might play into the picture. If the second scenario played out, it'd be funny for both Army and Navy to get pushed out of the CCG with each having only 1 conf loss! -

I can Remember
Memphis was terrified of us with 1:05 on the clock and no time outs. No moral victories, we lost and we shot ourselves in the foot a lot on all sides of the ball. But they were scared.- 1
