For this thread I hope he brings a cooler jug to his next presser.

He's young and still a little uncomfortable speaking in front of crowds and cameras. That will improve with experience.

In the meantime he's a damn fine young coach, winning and rebuilding as his entire roster has to be rebuilt every season due to the the transfer portal and NIL.

In the meantime, just count our blessings. He may not turn out to be God's Gift to North Texas coaching but he has proven that he he's competent, and if we can provide him the tools he needs, he can develop a winning program. It's a damn hard job at this level. Please give Eric all the time, support, and bottles of water, that he needs. We're lucky to have him.

Yes!

Anyone who watches more than one of his press conferences cannot help but contemplate this profound question.

And another, even deeper, question this one prompts is, Why?  Is he in danger of shriveling away?

He may be dealing with one of the most common phobias "glossophobia", which is a fear of public speaking. If that is the case, he is going to be in for a lot of anxiety if he gets the head coaching job at a larger University........who will have much larger press conferences than NT.

FWIW, I find his nervous sipping much less annoying that someone who is being interviewed and their answers are incessantly punctuated with the words "you know" and "like".
