JT is a good coach I am sure. But it is always about his personnel. They should still be grateful for him. Even with Harris, it was still JT that made it happen.

The contract is unbelievable... He's making great money for a P5 coach for the next 7+ years... His contract will still be high if it matures... And this is in Texas, a low tax state and at UTSA, a low pressure job. He could still have two more seasons like this one before they try to find a reason to fire him for cause

Seems to me his dour attitude lately is tied to the fact he sees his job prospects going down the drain.

It pains me to think how we invested in Seth for all those years and what a disappointment he was.  He made Jeff Traylor look good.

Wow.  On that 10/15 video he looks like he's beaten mentally.  That's not a good look for the program or anyone in that building to have him get on video looking like he's quit.

His MO was always, from high school on, that he was going to out recruit his opponents.  Those Gilmer teams he had were as loaded as a 3A HS team can get.  Then he had serious talent sprinkled throughout his roster and especially at the skill positions at UTSA until this year.  NIL and free transfers have killed him.  Instead of reloading, he seems to be taking it personally.  My question is why was he not able to reload?  Are his connections still mainly or only at the high school level?

Their QB is fine. He’s not Harris, who papered over other significant team deficiencies through the years. We’ve seen it first hand several times.

And UTSA was preferred over NT in the PAC2 scramble. As I said before PAC2 demonstrated they are not setting themselves up for success.
