Geez. That seems high.  Is it supposed to rain?

If the weather is decent, we cover. If we can make some stops, we win.

I would jump on this bet if I were a betting man. We match up well with them and are going to get them soon. Let’s do it Saturday. I see a 3 point game.

I think the only thing more emotionally abusive than being a MG fan would be someone that BETS on MG football.

After about 3 weeks, the guys with the jackets that have adjustable belts would be coming for a visit.

That’s really not an unreasonable spread.  We managed to find a way to win last night, but there are still some facts that can’t be denied

- Memphis is better than any team we’ve faced (excluding TTU)

- We still can’t run the football early in games

- We made a VERY average quarterback look like a world beater.  He had two, yes TWO, touchdown passes coming into yesterday.  He threw three against our secondary that was often not in the same zip code as receivers

- We are on the road

- We don’t do a little thing called tackling

The toughest part of our schedule is coming up.  Hope the defense can rise to the occasion for 60 minutes and we play well in all three phases of the game.   Be nice if we can pick up some wins against quality opponents.

Okay. But if we fix all of this during the week, -12 is too high right?

I wish i had more time to dive into this stuff, but Memphis is a pretty good defensive team with a middle of the road offense that does a good job of protecting the ball (they've won the turnover battle in every game except against Navy).

They don't really score that much and their recent game against USF was a defensive showdown. The Tigers took the opening kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown. Outside of that, they had another solid drive that ended in a missed FG, had a fumble recovery that led to a 30 yards TD drive and recovered another fumble in the endzone.  USF has a good defense, so i wouldn't expect them to play like that against us. But if we can get them into a shootout a la Navy, we might have a chance.

Hopefully with the ideal weather conditions are offense will be able to find it's way on Saturday, this is the first good defense we are playing against.
