His two best throws of the night were the last two, including the TD fortunately. This was definitely an off game for him.

I wonder if he was having trouble with his feet.  We saw the one slip but he may have been having "soft feet" on many of his other throw which caused issues.

I know we supposedly practiced on grass and had the sprinklers on and probably wet the balls.
But did we really simulate the wet conditions and completely soak the players.  I know the defense has been bad at tackling all year, but wet players make it worse, especially if you didn't practice for it.

Morris seemed to struggle with passing until the rain stopped. Just an observation.

Fancher was likely more experienced on the grass and also in the rain. I mean it is south Florida. It surely rains a lot down there.

Still can't believe NT won this game the way our defense played.

We were fortunate to have rain over humidity!

Off night for him. Off (as a favorite on the road) half for the Defense.

And we won. The progress is real.

GMG

Explain the progress? I would guess most people saw regression.

Regression from the last couple of games, but I would say it’s progress as a program.  I’ve got nothing to back this up, but I feel like most games in the past 20-30 years we lose if we play like we did last night.

I sure hope he wants to stay here and is convincing all of his teammates to do the same.

Agree.   If he continues UNT's rise, he will draw attention from the larger FB$ programs, similar to Rogers last year.   This unfortunately is the era we are in.  I hope he has found a home at UNT.  Both Morris' could get looks/offers if we have sustained success.
