My mistake, they have won 1 game. This still doesn’t make the defense look any better.

You are right. I was just stating that they were not winless. It still doesn't excuse the defense for playing like trash.

You said “same shit, different week” now you (and others) are wanting throw in the “ the teams we played were terrible.”  That’s true, but the defense played well against the last two weeks, so it’s not “same shit, different week.”  Maybe “the last two weeks were fool’s gold” is more accurate.

And I stand by that. Wyoming is complete trash and I still don’t think they looked “great”. They also gave up over 400 yards to Tulsa, 229 on the ground. Same shit.

Great point. This is still something I think is a poor reflection on Coach Morris. You have a defense that finished last in all of college football and you did not make changes. The only bigger question than why we are paying him anything is why do some people seem to still think Caponi can turn it around?

But, remember, he wanted to implement the defense which gave him trouble.

Fair enough.  I don’t necessarily agree, but that doesn’t matter.

Maybe this is a reflection of his readiness to be a head coach. He should not be so concerned on what causes one offense to have trouble but what defense is can step up against multiple different offenses.

Herman and his staff utilized their Bye Week to work on things, Morris and Staff regressed it seems from what worked against Wyoming and Tulsa

FAU Season Avg 22 pts, first half tonight 24 pts.

Caponi needs to be gone

After listening to Morris talk about his defense during the pregame show, it’s pretty obvious he is pleased at how well they have been playing.

FAU HAS OVER 300 YARDS OF OFFENSE IN THE FIRST HALF

At what point in the future does our head coach get tired of being embarrassed by the defensive play and make a change. We don't need a holistic approach to anything we need a defensive coordinator who can make adjustments and have teams ready before the game starts
