Nope

If anyone takes the DMN, there was a story Saturday in the Metro section about him. 

He was a transfer from Kilgore College, where he was the first QB of color there.

This was the 1970 season. Joe Milton was the regular starter.

I looked in my 2005 media guide and could not find his name amongst the lettermen. I assume that that means he didn't play enough to "letter". 

But he did play enough to make history.

      7 Home Games Next Year

      No, they are just listed randomly. I feel like our luck's going to run out with the weekday games. I don't remember the last time we had a weeknight home game. Just hope our UTSA/Rice games are on Saturdays.

      Honest tactical question here…

      I agree, although it seemed we slowed it down a bit yesterday. That third touchdown drive that lasted 13 plays and 6:59 without a fourth down conversion needed may have been our best drive all season.

      Volleyball coach released

      What a roller coaster of a season for the ladies. Struggle through an absolutely loaded nonconference season. The tough schedule looks like it's worth it by winning your first three, and five of your first seven in the AAC. Then lose seven straight, including two to Memphis, one to UAB, and Temple. Then randomly beat two of the best teams in the conference the last weekend of the regular season to clinch a top 8 seed. As said in another thread, haven't heard good things about Porter from player parents. But to be fair, it's probably not easy attracting the top talent in Texas to play D1 ball in a church gym. My opinion: move the team to the Super Pit. Get your sponsors to pay for their own tarps to cover up the upper levels. The environment won't be the same initially but I can bet you it'll be easier to get more than a "friends and family" crowd, and I'll also bet you most on-campus students couldn't tell you where the volleyball team currently plays.

      Jared seems to be aware of our lack of production from the volleyball standpoint. Hopefully, it merits consideration on the football side of things.

      WBB at Houston (11/24/24)

      If this team can just fix their turnover problem (16 in the first half alone) to maximize their opportunities on offense - whether it's Lampkin in the paint or getting a few more opportunities from deep - they are going to be the class of the AAC again. They played around too much with ACU and similar to the guys against Texas Wesleyan, appeared disinterested in the game against NW State, but they came into Houston and proved they were the better team with authority.
