Agree, but it clearly says "without relegation".  Not sure how promotion without relegation works.

A similar 2-league proposal was leaked to the public this past spring and it resembles what is being proposed for the College Student Football League. I've attached the pdf deck if anyone's interested. It calls for a Super League (SL) of 70 permeant schools and an Under League (UL) of 66 schools that would be subject to promotion and relegation based upon performance. If you just want the bullet points, see the attached screen grabs.

Personally I think a system like this makes a lot of sense and halts the Big10/SEC breakaway. Not surprisingly, the Big10 and SEC came out against this proposal when it hit the streets last February.

And here come the downvotes and puking eagles in 3...2...1...

When the top schools manage to dump the Vandys and Rutgers of their leagues, and split off, how long until those fans get tired of 6-6 records and quit watching?

Bullies can only exist because victims exist.

LOL, did you see half of those "schools" in the Power 12 league?  What a fkin joke.  No way that is serious.

No doubt this faces an uphill battle but the proposal takes the majority of schools from the previous Power 5 and reorganizes them into 12 divisions to prevent the SEC & Big10 from creating a 32 team super league.

Then it creates the Group of 8 (out of the G5 schools) with 8 division | 8 teams per division, which would have the opportunity for promotion/relegation to the top league, depending on performance.

I think it's a smart idea. The proposal also adds an additional game to the college football season and increases the CFP to 24 teams for more opportunity.

The SEC commissioner already said they aren't going backwards, which the B1G completely agrees with, too.

I think the reality is that these two will pick apart the pieces of the ACC and Big 12 that are worth something to them and they will abandon the NCAA. Best thing that could ever happen, too.

Why the down votes?  This spreads top football (and money and competitiveness) out beyond just SEC and B10, and adds a promotion pathway for everyone to move up.  It's 1000x better than where we are currently heading.
