New UNT Coach is Daniyal Robinson
Correct. Coach Robinson hire is MUCH MUCH MORE like the McCasland hire than it is like Benford. If anything, comparing Coach Robinson's 2025 resume to Coach McCasland's 2017 resume, Coach Robinson's looks better. We just poached a winning HC away from another D-1 University for the second time in 8 years. I'm excited to see what kind of staff coach Robinson puts together. -

The location does have some good basketball connections. This is nothing like the Benford hire. The man is a successful head coach. Waiting on whatever a more ‘national search’ would be is not possible in today’s game. We have to be up and running NOW. -

Time To Move On
can i say both? the poor kid's head is probably spinning right now as it came on pretty quick and his post HS plans got flipped around. his mom has made it known, pretty adamantly, that his future is TBD. and the tone of when she most recently said it tells me TBD likely does not include UNT. -
