The AAC needs to form an association with one of those conf. The footprint would be great and this would give one of these conferences central time zone exposure. Just have football and BB replace the current out of conference games. Have each crown an conf winner and then have each conf winner play for the WagTag cup? Also bring in NIU and Toledo.

After watching the PAC and how they treated the MWC, I don’t trust them nor do I want anything to do with them.

Both the PAC and MWC are weakened conferences mired in a lawsuit with each other. We’re better off standing on our own and not elevating either with an association with the AAC.

Also, just leave the MAC alone. They’ve got a good thing going in the MAC. Let’s not ruin that.

Most of those schools that joined the pac have a history of screwing over their conference mates. I wish them nothing but the worst.

Unless someone walks into Mosley's office with keys to Ft. Knox I'd say stay in the AAC. I think the big conference alignment is a couple years away...

It worked great for the PAC12, ACC, and Big 10 previously...

Any alliance with the PAC after they unsuccessfully recruited the "AAC 4" would be managment malpractice on the part of the AAC Commish.  And right now he looks very smart after keep the raiders at bay in the latest attempts.

With the MWC 7 staying put, should we still try to aggressively pursue expansion now with programs such as Texas State and James Madison or wait? There's a chance at least one league between the PAC and MWC won't reach eight full-time members by the deadline to maintain FBS status and the American could swoop in and take that league's best programs.

Expansion for the sake of expansion is not a good idea.  The more schools dilutes the revenue and if they don’t add more value than they take it is a negative.  Other than The Air Force Academy and maybe James Madison I say stay put.  GMG!!!

This is a good article that talks about the PAC's mess, but also a possibility of them trying to re-offer AAC teams in the future with more $$ if they get a favorable court ruling on poaching fees.  An NT mention too...

There are other schools out there that would still add value to the Pac-12. It makes sense to get into Texas, even if it’s not with UTSA. Texas State is on an upswing. North Texas has a history of success. It wasn’t so long ago that Rice went head to head with the likes of Texas and Texas A&M in the Southwest Conference.

AAC has 14 schools in football now. It takes two seasons to get all the head-to-head matchups now. Arguably it is the best of G conferences. Leave it alone.

These are 4 of the 8 MWC teams that bolted from the then 16 team WAC about 23 years ago destroying them. I have no tears for the MAC.

What does this even mean? Do you think we haven't done the exact same thing to sun-belt/CUSA?

I hope our administration will not meet offside behind the other schools' backs and basically give them an FU. I'm all for doing what's best for North Texas, but I also think at some point we're in a conference with people you don't try to screw them over.
