For how this game started to now is an amazing turn.  That 96 yd wr screen going for a td turned the game and we’ve blown the doors off of them since.  Defense gave up yards early, but didn’t break and kept us in the game.  Really pleased with the improvement there in the last two weeks.  The 3-4 is here to stay.

Decouple the score from the stats for a moment. 5 yrds a rush isn’t good defense.  Morris was not terribly efficient for half of the game and much of that was due to the OL not protecting him. Running game was not good. Still way too many penalties to be a contender.
Not trying to poop on the win but objectivity isn’t a bad thing.

Because a lot of times when you have a second chance to return a punt it’s a big return because the punting team is worn out. Particularly the gunners.

Frosty's for sure, with a root beer.  I've never understood the appeal of Denton Independent; those guys have terrible french fries.

Find the middle ground because the music is now quieter than it was a few years ago… that doesn’t work well when you have a DJ who the students enjoy. It doesn’t need to be as loud as the first game but it also should be louder than it was tonight.

      Since switching defenses, it’s as if we’re competing through all four quarters. Last year, we had really good performances only in the second half of games. I was impressed by how many times the Tulsa QB was so uncomfortable. Many times we forced him out of the pocket and had to throw while on the run. He just couldn’t really settle in. You can see the players really respond to this style of defense. I’m loving it right now.

      If we win they will come. Well if we win certain games they will come. Well we can't have a bad loss and still win games or they won't come. I hate to say it but we have way too many conditions to get people to show up. Having under 20,000 people for a game with great weather is an embarrassment and the school should be ashamed of itself. I'm not sure if they will ever change the way they do stuff but whatever we're doing with the fan base is not working. PS we need to stop trying to play up the we have so many alums in the DFW area when talking about why we should be looked at by other conferences.
