I have been thinking about starting one of these threads for a long time, and I finally have a player that is worthy of starting it for. If you have a player with insane stats and/or insane ratings that you want to show off, induct him into the Hall of Fame! My only request is to keep it to CPU generated players only, we can all create a superstud prospect any time. So the first inductee is....

Steve Hilliard

#1, MLB

San Diego State

6'0 241

Hilliard was in one of my first recruiting classes with San Diego State, and he is being inducted for his freakish attributes. Several of these are mind blowing for a middle backer with his size (numbers are going into his SR year).

OVR: 99

SPD: 89!

STR: 86

AWR: 91

AGI: 85

ACC: 90!

CTH: 68

TAK: 96

STA: 93

As you can see, he could be playing running back or even corner just as well. I plan on giving him a couple of carries this year just for fun. I normally don't play a lot of games, mostly sim, but with this monster in the middle, I will play several games just to control him.

Any HOF's in anyone else's dynasties?

Well I had planned on doing it before the FAU game, but my source of power and shade could not make it. If someone else wants to take the reigns, I would love to help out, but I am really busy now with stuff and can't take it over completely like I was until I found out the FAU game wasn't gonna happen.

I want to see your guy's ratings though, his size alone is HOF worthy.

I love messing around with my FB position. I never recruit true FBs, I put ATHs there, sometimes I put a blazing fast guy to throw to out of the backfield, and sometimes I stick one of those great 300+ pounder ATHs there to be a battering ram.

The same goes for DE. I never recruit DE's, I just recruit a ton of OLBs and move the slower ones (I only recruit speed on defense besides the DT) at DE. Of course their speed is still 80-84 and they are awesome DEs.

What defense do yall run? My favorite is the 3-3-5, but I change to what my personnel fit best.

I'll have to dig up the stats on my guy...with 18 hours of class this semester I haven't gotten to play a whole lot.

I like the 3-3-5 defense as well, it's good to throw in a formation like that every few plays...you can actually see the confusion it causes. Of course, with NT...I run a lot of cover 2 out of the 4-3 and nickel formations. laugh.gif

Ok, I have an entry.

The first year after I won the Nat'l Championship with Texas State, I wasn't happy with my QBs. Not that they weren't good, but the best guy I had was one I knew going in had super poor discipline. Not good news when your #1 is gonna spend half his time on the bench.

One person mentioned going to Mean Green hell for playing as SMU, well, expect to see me there, cause I'm running a variant to New Mexico State's offense with Texas State. At any rate, I needed a fast QB with an arm to throw the long ball. No dink and dunk here, it's run run run BOMB.

Josh Huggins, QB (ATH)

6'2", 242 lbs (as a RS-Senior)

He was a 3-star athlete out of Lake Jackon, TX with 4.3~ speed who wasn't particularly enamored to play for a Nat'l Champion, probably in part because I had a fairly young stable of QBs, all with solid abilities. Luckily, I hit on his interest in our playing style, and four weeks later he was mine.

His ratings as a RS-senior:

OVR: 99

THP: 91

THA: 92

SPD: 90 (oh yeah)

AWR: 86

AGI: 90

ACC: 92

CTH: 70

CAR: 65

JMP: 87

BTK: 78

So I red-shirted him a year, and he sat for a good portion of his RS-FR year behind the incumbent, until he got suspended, naturally.

From that day on, it was all Huggins.

I set the bar for him at 1700 passing yards and 1000 rushing yards, which he blew to smithereens his junior year, when he threw for 2132 yds with 29 TDs, 4 INTs, and rushed for 1165 yds with 15 TDs on his way to every imaginable award, including the Heisman, as well as a championship.

Then I coaxed him back for one more year.

His senior year, he had a QB Rating of 180.5, 1848 yds, 25/6 and rushed for 1314 yds and 22 TDs. Yes, he had more than 20 TDs passing AND rushing that season.

What offense did you run with him?

The fastest QB I had was a 95 speed (but he was nowhere near the 90's in the throwing ratings like yours), and I switched to the Air Force offense when I had him starting.

New Mexico State's Playbook, Option Run, 70% run I think.
