So, is there a chance the PAC pays a lot of money to the MWC for pulling all of their teams from the MWC? The handful that is left in the MWC will have a large war chest and then quite possibly merge with or consume CUSA.

Mosley needs to come out with a statement indicating UNT is reaffirming its commitment to the AAC.

He pretty much already did so last Friday.

Absolutely. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in Tim Pernetti's office right now.

TBH Memphis and Tulane already crippled them enough. They pretty much have no choice but to bring in a couple more MWC schools then try and wait out til the next alignment window.

The only thing I can take from this is that the media deal wasn't there.  Along with the right revenue share.

Yep.  No question.

Oh this is getting dark for the Pac. Might have witnessed an epic fumble.

(2nd epic fumble) the first was botching the original media deal

These AAC offers need to happen!

The MWC today is trying to lure remaining members to stay with financial guarantees.

Sources: Mountain West making push to keep remaining schools

Sources told ESPN that the Mountain West is amid a significant push to solidify its future by offering guaranteed money to the schools, including one-time payments to formalize their status as league members going forward. Those include large payments to both UNLV and Air Force to stay in the league and also significant payments to all the other remaining members.

I was saying from the beginning the money to move west was a big hurdle. Everything came down to if there was enough money to make the move worth it, for the legacy members that was $12-15M and $12M was probably the break even because of the additional travel. Pac12 was offered $24M before it broke apart? That was with Washington, Oregon, AZ, Utah, etc. so what kind of deal do you think they'd get with WOSU and 4 MWC teams?

Any word from the UNT side about getting higher revenue share to solidify the conference against the PAC?  Over on the UTSA side, that's being asked.  As new members we all took smaller shares vs legacy schools already there.
