Wyoming will have the worst QB and Offense we have seen this season (as stated by their own fans).

I expect a larger point spread.

Wyoming has only scored 34 total points all season.

We will win this game, as Wyoming is really, really bad. And it will be hot and humid here, which will help us.

But the damages done from getting boat raced by a school that we got embarrassed by will last all season. Attendance will still not get anywhere close to the 30k mark…again

It was really poor to plan for a sellout after a trip to Lubbock.  It should have been done vs SFA, as they also brought more fans than Wyoming will.

Who cares if it’s a sellout. Sounds like there will be a great crowd on hand to see us start 3-1.

No one cares about 3-1 when you get your lips beat off your face on national TV by the only team your fans care about up to this point. As likely as 3-1 is, and 3-1 is nice, there's an emptiness to it.

I don’t want to get the thread off topic, but this post made me think: “Did we give Tech motivation to beat us with the ‘Sellout vs Wyoming’ campaign?”  The unstated assumption was obviously that we would be coming off a win at Tech and be 3-0.  I can see that causing a Big 12 team to have a little more focus and have a little more desire to win than normal against an AAC team.

Lol no

I think Tech was motivated by almost losing to ACU and getting their doors blown off my Washington State.

I agree and even said so in another thread.  But still, if I’m playing for Tech and little ol’ UNT is kind of mocking me…it might be an added motivation.

Agreed. I don’t think most casual fans are going to analyze the Tech score/game like most people on here. 3-1 sounds pretty good to the casual fan though.

Of course people care about starting 3-1. That makes a winning season highly probable.
Beat Wyoming and that likely guarantees another 23K+ crowd for Tulsa. Win that to get to 4-1 and Tech starts feeling like a bad dream.

Yes, Tech got smashed by G5 Washington State, lol.  They are trying to forget about getting beat by a lower level opponent!   Their fans still showed up.

The North Texas defense is more than capable of making bad teams look good. I’m not expecting an easy win. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is another high scoring game.

We do have a history of making players game film highlights for the transfer portal look very good after they have breakout performance is against us

What we're all hoping to see is a prepared team that comes out with poise and focus.   Start fast, and take out any/all frustrations from last weekend on this poor Wyoming team.    I really don't think this is out of the realm of possibility if the players have any shred of competitive fire and belief in their team.

What I'm worried we see is a Wyoming team coming in and punching us in the mouth early due to some defensive mistake, and watching our guys fold again.

I'm leaning towards the first scenario, but no one can blame any of us fans for holding our breaths in anticipation of the second scenario.
