I don’t think this as important as it was a few years ago.  If the guy can coach, the players will come.

for comparison, if UNT's defense didn't allow more than 28 points in any game this season, the Mean Green would be 7-3 right now. And that's with Morris' questionable discissions like passing up points, onside kicks after the first drive of the game, and not having a jumbo package in goal line situations. 

I would be good with that.  His current reported salary is around $135,000 so money wouldn't be an issue.

We need to find the Patrick Cobbs of DC's.  How impressive is a coach who is down to his third or fourth string RB and coaches/develops him to get 192 yards against UTSA.,,,,,with a bum shoulder.

I want coaches that understand UNT and want to be here.  Not recommending for the DC position, but people like Chris Hurd (special teams at Illinois) and Marcus Trice (DB's/Defensive recruiting coordinator at SFA) need to be here.
