We are really really bad in football right now and with NIL it is only going to get worse.  Morris is not a good coach please bring back Seth!!

We have to stop acting like every other school beside us in G5 has a lot of NIL money. There are a few that do but most do not.

We're way behind where we should be in NIL, and it took our coaches too long to recognize the right way to use the portal.  In many ways, NIL is a reflection of how bad your fan base wants it.  Clearly, our fans, generally speaking, just don't care as much as a lot of similarly situated schools.  So, regarding NIL, I guess we are where we deserve to be.

That being said, I can accept being mediocre most seasons, occasionally bad, occasionally good--especially considering the above realities.  What is not acceptable is to be absolutely embarrassed and make a mockery of yourselves on national television and do 40+ points worse than an FCS school did two weeks ago in the same stadium.  That's not an NIL failure.  That's just one of the worst game preparation failures I've seen in many years--coupled also with roster management problems.  NIL is an excuse to not compete every year for a conference title.  It's not an excuse for this disaster.

I've never been so disinterested in NT football after decades of being a fan...

Today is the perfect reason that our alumni, students, faculty, sports fans in the area, and the local sports media just flat out don’t care about us. When we do have a chance to gain their attention, 99% of the time, we crap the bed against a team that we need to compete with. This is not pointed at playing UT, OU, A&M, LSU, Bama, etc…it’s getting prison raped by SMU, UH, Tech, UTSA, etc…losing to Texas teams that people know and went to school at. UNT grads get embarrassed so badly to go to work, church, school, or anywhere that know we went to UNT and just laugh at us. For men especially, it just gets old, so they walk away. And rarely, if ever, come back.

When you have so much turnover in this day and age....you have to ask...."Is playing for the love of the alma mater now a thing of the past?" How much love can guys have.....when we're their 3rd or 4th school? We're more of a motel for them for the year....than an alma mater.

I understand for some the financial benefit to transfer. Others, an opportunity to play or play more. Many others, however, didn't have to leave. Part of being a successful program today is in the retention of your  players. How hard did we try? We can't afford to bring in 77 new faces each year with any semblance of success. The blow out today was a result of not limiting player turnover, albeit not your players.

Well, I also think it’s a result of subpar coaching. Face it, Morris and Caponi didn’t show anything to make us feel good about them last season, either.

Morris is a good offensive coordinator who was given the shot to be a head coach. Similar to Seth. Hopefully, it doesn't take Morris as long to realize he needs to turn the defense over to someone who knows what they're doing.

It was a bad game that was also embarrassing, but I don’t think we need to throw out the baby with the bath water.

We likely had this penciled in as a loss prior to the season (probably not in this fashion, though.). We still have a chance to finish OOC at 3-1….2-2 at the worst.  Real D-1 programs get their butts whooped. It’s part of the game.

Is he? Or is he one of a million Air Raid guys in CFB these days who all do the same basic thing while the handful of actual good offensive coordinators/coaches are able to adapt, edit, adjust, and throw wrinkles into their offense?

We are the same as Tech, just with less talent. Yes, we can put up points vs FCS and teams at a talent disadvantage, but otherwise, we're basically a team that couldn't win the Texas Bowl with Pat Mahomes at QB or score 10 points vs Fresno State with Cam Ward.

I feel like Chandler Morris is rushing to make his reads to get rid of the ball. Feels like when we played against USA, he was making the correct decision and wasn’t in such a hurry. Our OL was better pass blocking today, but still Morris seemed to be rushing his throws. I know it’s the air raid offense, but shouldn’t you know when to slow it down some plays?

UNT stinks. Who is in charge of recruiting ???? The entire football program should be on the hot seat.

Coach "O" is. The south Dallas high school jumping assistant coach that showed up to Eric Morris' office begging for a job while assumingly telling Morris that he wouldn't open up just pipelines, but LA freeways to the likes of Oak Cliff, Duncanville, DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Lancaster, etc etc.

He is Morris' second worst hire behind ole Craponi.

Well, he should be fired. The talent level on the field is ridiculous. Look at North Texas and look at Texas State. UNT doesn’t look like it has FBS players.

Of course he should be. Look at the dude. Anyone who doesn't have discipline for self, doesn't have discipline for his line of work. It was an awwwwwful hire from the jump. But then our UNT faithful started, for whatever reason, praising the bozo. Assumingly because we would land the scraps at some of these high schools and it may have been the first time X school sent a kid our way. But a East/West Texas kid with 7 offers is just as good. Can't sink money into empty vessels.
