Not sure why it would be a bigger opportunity than any of the other times we've played Tech.

Disagree. I want us to win, but that’s about it. FS1 in the 11 slot is pretty cool. If our game is competitive, there will be a lot of eyes on our game.

A win will give us some bragging rights. Our conference games are much more important.

As of right now Memphis is ranked #25 in the Coaches Poll and Texas Tech is not receiving a single vote in either poll. This is an opportunity to catch the attention of the casual college football fan in the state of Texas and either confirm or challenge their general default assumption that North Texas football is utterly irrelevant. But, in the grand scheme of things, Memphis is better than Tech, and that game will have bigger implications--possibly Tulane too.
