You couldn't sell out DATCU next week, if you offered free admission to Haitians, and had cat at the concession stands.

Nope, but for some reason most have come from Baylor.  I am not 55, it is on the internet.

It feels that so many other schools with so much less are able to do so much more and it just takes finding and hiring the right coaches and program builders. 

This is the key to everything. The athletic department is the most important piece to success. You need leaders who are always pushing for better things and never settling. You need an athletic director and department that can accurately evaluate hires. UNT has never been able to put a good staff together, that's why we haven't been able to get good hires outside of McCasland.

Kinne was hired 11 days before Morris and 2 days before we fired Littrell.

I remember fans here complaining that waiting to fire Littrell would cost us in hiring, but how many people back then would've considered Kinne a much better hire than Morris?

Over reaction to one game that takes us to 2-1.  This team still could reach that mark 6 win mark if we they don't make easy for their opponents with sloppy play.  A 10 year+ run of that "sounds nice" will have leadership move the program down to FCS for financial reasons alone.

Seth was extended early AND fired a season late.  Absolutely insane to give any head coach a SECOND extension early without a conference championship in your G5 conference.  We aren't Vandy in the SEC or Indiana in the Big 10.  The gaps in G5 are small and not insurmountable at a school with UNT's resources, we should stop acting like they are.

We had one of the worst defenses of all time last season.  We bring the coordinator and scheme back and are beyond embarrassingly bad (to historic levels) once again.  Meanwhile, the administration has the audacity to ask for a sellout next week.  I'm starting to think it would be better if we could just quietly finish this season with as few people paying attention as possible.

      Were we really more negative about Rogers leaving? Sorry, I don't see what @Cooley sees, but maybe I have forgotten some after a year. Regarding some collective donor being pissed Poffenberger isn't starting next year, that's your gamble when you donate to a collective. I pray that they aren't being promised a starting job as it should always go to the most talented, deserving young man.

      I dont respond much, but I read your posts. Easy for people to point out problems, a loss, holes in defense or missed buckets, etc. Yet, the teams have really stepped up lately. We may have lost a few but i see the hustle and grit. And that impresses me. Ladies BBall broke down in 4th Q, but found a way to win against Memphis. Playing well in the AAC thus far. 11-4 and 3-0 in conf. looks nice. Mens BBall lost to Memphis, but played with heart. Sissoko, Newell and Walker in particular. Great effort. I also think Floyd managed the game, solid performance at the point. Football - I didnt know what to expect in the bowl game. Great effort. I am in Austin and wearing the logo on consistent basis. received a lot of input from others after that game. Stinks to come close and lose, same as with the last Boise game in Frisco. But proud of the team. So THANKS MEAN GREEN !!! Looking forward to Soccer, Softball and Diving/Swimming, Golf, etc.

      Attendance question

      Here's my take on the First Responders Bowl. * I thought they did a fantastic job honoring first responders from all lines of work throughout the game. Very impressive presentation for people that deserve to be recognized. * Location isn't terrible and Ford Stadium is fine, but I had to shower four times to remove the SMU stench. * Concessions were pretty good although it would have been nice to know if advance that they were not accepting cash. * Would have been nice to have First Responder Bowl souvenir cups instead of the stupid "Pony Up" cups. Nobody's taking those home. * Nice taking the train, walking over and then getting out quickly. This was managed well by whoever is in charge of getting people from the station safely across Central Expressway. * In spite of all of the above, $100 plus for sideline seats to this bowl/matchup was ridiculous.

      The anecdotal evidence I heard from people was that it was "too expensive" and "not an impressive matchup" or "we are just going to lose"
