I only tried a few times but it was reasonably responsive compared to previous years.

It was most embarrassing when our stadium was sponsored by a company that provide networking services for college campuses.  Obviously, they had nothing to do with the existing cell service provided by the networks, but they should have been able to stand up a local system to expand Wi-Fi service at the stadium but then, that costs money too.  Seems like it should have been negotiated into part of the naming contract.

Me thinks it's just the Carrier...in my case ATT...it sucks at DATCU Stadium.

Agreed. I have ATT and had zero service the first half. It did get a little better in the 2nd half.

Because you've got upwards of 30,000+ folks all trying to connect in a condensed area all at once.

This is my understanding, too.

This is how it was explained to me:  Think of data usage like a highway. The more cars using the highway, the slower traffic will be.  There are only so many cars that can fit on a set piece of asphalt.

Once Apogee, an internet service provider, became DATCU, a bank, things got better.

Guessing my money should go to  bank that can manage internet.

GMG

Now the ATMs probably don’t work in the stadium.

I think it depends on where you sit in the stadium.  I have always been a AT&T customer and have seats in Sec. 210 under the Hub Club up top.  Reception internet wise is challenging at times since the opening of the stadium.  Last Saturday night we were in the Hub Club and all was fine inside and outside in the seats.

I always got a strong signal.  It's just that the bandwidth wasn't available.

For cell service, you're completely limited to the number of local towers for the specific providers which can be augmented with temporary towers but that is an expense that isn't really practical for 20,000 people for 3hrs.

But I'll say again, the stadium was sponsored/named for a company that is literally in the business of providing networking services to large universities.  Granted, the task of providing Internet connectivity for a short-term event isn't their primary business, but given their experience and that they were directly associated with the stadium should have been enough for them to find a solution that wasn't based on cell service.
