There is a busy thoroughfare between the event and the main parking for the event. Perfect. I guess you guys would be ok with people dodging cars on 35 to get to the stadium. A test of faith to find the few worthy to be a fan! Maybe route traffic to the back side of the lot then.
counter-point: guy on P4 message board. - "Hodge just inherited a successful program from GM, has shown no ability to grow that program and in his two years as head coach didn't win a conference title or a significant post-season game"
the body of work isn't there to impress the idiots that ADs have to impress. let's just all chill...Hodge is back next year
this is all the more reason for a program like ours to continue recruiting incoming freshmen.
five years ago the top 50 high schoolers were pretty much just getting divvied up by the top 15 or so programs. now those programs are grabbing more transfers and focusing attention on the top 10-15 incoming freshmen. trickle down effect should mean there's a higher quality of HS recruit available to mid-majors like us. we just have to show a willingness to play freshmen...which, lets just say TBD
I kinda feel an underlying rationale some have for wanting a team of transfers is the idea that if we have 11 seniors Hodge will play an 11 man rotation. not gonna happen. dude likes an 8 man rotation and I have a hard time believing thats gonna change next year.
for me, that means an ideal roster here is 8-9 upperclassmen and 4-5 freshmen/developmental players.
Of course he's open to HS players in future cycles. Pitino knows things change on a yearly basis. It's just disingenuous of you to say "Auburn is No 1 and recruits HS kids" when their number 1 ranking has very little to do with recruiting HS kids. When I look at the top teams in the country, most are led by at least one transfer. Duke is an exception but they have the number 1 prospect in the country.
If you want to argue that in theory a team led by mostly guys recruited from HS could be number 1 in the country then sure. Duke could win it all this year with the number 1 NBA prospect. For everybody else who isn't getting the top NBA prospect out of HS, all data points to the transfer portal as being the best way to build a team.
Seats aren’t going to be removed because the university needs it for graduation and they own the bldg.
The east side entrance mall needs to be “dressed up” with string lights, lights in trees, vendors, food, music, refreshments, etc. on game days.
The concourse needs to be livened up. Pop up bars, store similar to the one at DATCU that can be accessed from inside the SP and outside, information on the MGSF, music, monitors showing the game when in line for concessions, more efficient concessions, etc.
