His replacement, Jennings, RS-Fr, is more of a dual threat QB.
He will need to be a runner…to escape the onslaught of future opponent defenses! Not looking good for the P4 start 👀

They are both deeply flawed but the way this was all handled is very very strange, and the offense dysfunction is beyond just getting beat. BYU did not seem to be, overall, more talented, at least not significantly.   Very strange.

BYU had a good showing in Dallas.

SMU is lucky all the ACC teams coming to Dallas this year are red and blue so their fans can blend in together. If the game's on mute, an idiot might think it's a stadium full of SMU fans.

The only ACC game with opposing fans that will stick out is Cal's blue. But they won't bring many fans.

Literally NO ONE would ever think that the stadium is full of $mut fans.

We also compete with TCU for all of those things, but I don’t see TCUs name perpetually appearing on our forums. The SMU obsession runs deep around here.

When is the last time, NT played TCU in football or basketball?  SMU was also a G5 until they purchased their way into the AAC.  TCU has been a P4or 5 for a long time.  TCU also has a lot of local fan support, while SMU has very little.  It is just easier to dislike the most penalized team in the country.

Yeah but TCU isn't on our level. They are a true P4, Big 12 team. Played in a national championship level team. SMU is a true G5 pretending to be a P4 in a soon to be defunct P4 conference and they will be right back "down" to our level in a few years.

So they'll stay relevant to North Texas for the foreseeable future.
